Chance, our German Shepherd, lost use of his hind legs due to a bad disk in his lower back. He had surgery to remove the bad disk and would require extensive physical exercise to learn how to walk again. Since surgery, Chance has been visiting Carla at Positive Paws to undergo underwater treadmill exercise. This program has been greatly beneficial to Chance in helping him to walk again. He is now walking and continues to do underwater treadmill exercise in order to build even stronger muscles. In addition, he is losing excess weight due to the intense exercise the treadmill provides. Furthermore, Carla's knowledge and understanding of what is needed for him to progress has helped greatly for her to modify each session to what is in Chance's best interest.

Just as water exercise is beneficial to people, it can also benefit your canine!
My goal is to help improve your dog’s quality of life! The treadmill is wonderful to enhance general fitness. The warm water provides relaxation and low impact exercise.
Some of the benefits include muscle development, retraining, and conditioning, and it is fun!
Water exercise will help maintain exercise for fitness year-round. Your dog will have fun getting into shape and lose those extra pounds.
Warm water relaxes your dog to reduce stiffness, making movement easier and more comfortable.
Our pets are very important family members. We provide them with the best shelter and food. Now you can provide the best exercise program.
Veterinarian referral is required before starting the underwater exercise program.
Call today for your appointment. . . .evening and weekend appointments are available.

Notes from the fit and trim!
I have been visiting you weekly at Positive Paws for the treadmill since April 2nd. I think I am walking better and still doing pretty good for a 15 1/2 year old lab/shep mix. My mom is not stressed any longer as she knows you won't get upset with me (and her) if I have an accident.
When you are old, "incontinence" can be an issue.
I sure hope I can continue to visit you weekly for my treadmill workout and
the "cookies". You are the best cook in the world.
Your friend,
Max Kirkpatrick
P.S. Carla, the treadmill has really made a difference in Max's quality of
life (both physically and mentally). Thank-you for helping us out.
